Manso, president of the national federation, will once again integrate the leadership of the CPJ in the position of Development Director, after the elections of the entity that counted with the participation of representatives of 31 of the 34 affiliated countries.
The Cuban expert has held that responsibility since 2015 in recognition of his work and results of judo in his country at the national and international level.
The voting of the continental organization determined that the Peruvian Carlos Zegarra, former judo bronze medalist in the division of over 100 kilograms in the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro 2007 and participant in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, presides over the committee of the institution.
In statements to the press, Zegarra described it as a great challenge to lead the CPJ leadership due to the current health complications derived from the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘To have dared to hold events, to have dared to be on the move only speaks of the purest love we all have for judo,’ he assured.
