The 7th Meeting of the Ibero-American Conference of Ministers of Finance and Economy is being attended by 22 ministers and representatives from multilateral organizations.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the opening remarks of the event will be made by Dominican Finance Minister Jose Manuel Vicente and Ibero-American Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan.
The participation of President Luis Abinader, Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez, and Minister of Economy, Planning and Development Miguel Ceara was also announced.
The list of speakers also includes special guests such as Alejandro Werner, director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF); Richard Martinez, vice president for countries at the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and Carlos Felipe Jaramillo, World Bank vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean.
This is the first meeting organized by the Dominican Republic as the pro tempore secretary of the Ibero-American Conference, and was organized as a joint initiative by President Abinader and his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sanchez.
