During the Political Consultation Meeting, via online, Cuban and Luxembourg representatives tackled down on regional and multilateral agendas such as cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and Cuba’s contribution to fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the meeting, Emilio Lozada, director general of MINREX´s Bilateral Affairs Division, thanked Luxembourg´s stance at the UN in favor of the resolution ¨Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on Cuba.¨
Luxembourg delegation was headed by Olivier Jean Michel Maes, Director of Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,.
It was also attended by Stephanie Toschi and Anne-Laure Theis, officials in charge of Latin America and the Caribbean issues of the Directorates of Political Affairs and Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, respectively.
On the Cuba side, Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Norma Goicochea; Director of Europe and Canada Gisela García; Director of Multilateral Political Affairs Mirta Granda; and other MINREX´s officials.
