According to a survey by the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP) -Fiducial for Le Figaro newspaper, Macron and Le Pen seem to have no rivals for April 2022´s elections, so both would be ready for run-off again.
The survey assessed five possible scenarios, with separate candidates from the traditional right, where Macron and Le Pen showed comfortable advantage.
According to the poll, Le Pen would be 27-30 most voted in the first round, followed by Macron (25-28).
Out of five eventual representatives of the right Xavier Bertrand and Valérie Pécresse are the most supported (15-10%), respectively, far from the leaders.
Regarding the left, only the Leader of La Francia Insoumisa (LFI) Jean-Luc Mélenchon would reach a double-digit result obtaining 11 or 12% in the five scenarios, followed by Socialist Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Ecologist Yannick Jadot and the National Secretary of the Communist Party Fabien Roussel.
