During the meeting, at the Amiri Diwan (the Government’s venue), the two leaders also discuss the efforts to rebuild Gaza, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Haniyeh expressed gratitude for Qatar’s diplomatic negotiations, which contributed to end Israel’s attacks and to the ceasefire on the Gaza Strip, as well as for its permanent support for the Palestinian people, a support that was reaffirmed by Al Thani.

According to QNA, the emir of Qatar held a telephone conversation with Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday night, during which he underlined the importance of unity within Palestinian ranks and repeated his solidarity with his people.
