Vidal also referred to multiple challenges Cuba is presently facing up due to the negative impact of the blockade imposed by the United States.
She also detailed on the strategies and actions taken by the Cuban government to mitigate Covid-19´s effects, such as the development of five vaccine candidates and the progress of health intervention to immunize its people.
As a result of this latest action, nearly half a million Cubans have been vaccinated to date, she stressed.
Vidal also highlighted the priceless support Cuba is receiving from the international solidarity movement in these difficult circumstances.
She thanked the Canadian Network of Solidarity with Cuba for the campaigns recently organized to send nearly two million syringes and needles to Cuba in order to contribute to vaccinating its people against Covid-19.
