FITUR´s 41st edition, which will be held through coming Sunday 23rd and the first one amid present health situation in hybrid format (face-to-face and virtual) is attended by 55 countries (in-person) and 79 others in virtual way through FITUR LIVEConnect platform.
To celebrate FITUR´s return, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) brought together leaders from public and private sectors to send a message regarding the will of tourism to recover its activity.
UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili said that the decision to host FITUR was a good example of necessary prowess to revive tourism and to drive a broader recovery.
In FITUR 2021, UNWTO will address some of key challenges tourism faces for its safe, responsible and sustainable recovery, so the event will promote the presentation of Green Digital Certificate that will help sightseers to go tourism round Europe coming summer.
