The meeting on the Zoom platform will take place on Wednesday at 20:00 hours, local time, the organization announced in a statement.
‘We convene this meeting in the context of the unprecedented global and current health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to discuss various issues of interest,’ the association’s members expressed in the text.
The meeting will facilitate to continue strengthening ties among all Cuban residents, preserve our cultural identity, strengthen the defense of out homeland’s sovereignty and continue the fight for an end of the United States blockade, the group added.
In advocating for the unity of Cubans, the Association called for enthusiastic participation in the event.
Marti was killed on May 19, 1895, in a clash with Spanish colonialist troops in Dos Rios, in eastern Cuba.
