In a television speech, Maduro revealed Guaidó´s request, who in 2019 proclaimed himself president of Venezuela, supported and approved by the United States and allies.
Nicolás Maduro stated that he is open to meet and talk with opposition as long as it leads them to leave the path of invasion and coups.
‘Now Guaidó wants to meet me to talk. Was it order by the U.S.? He wants to meet me, what is he up to? Will it be ordered from the US Empire? Your presidency is over,’ Maduro said.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly on Wednesday announced that Juan Guaidó must appear before the Special Commission that probes previous legislature for alleged links with Colombian drug trafficking organizations.
Parliament President José Brito told the media that the Special Commission will seek to clear out Guaidó’s links with the Rastrojos criminal group.
