With its tenacity and victory, Damascus ended the monopoly of the West and proved that the people’s will is invincible in the face of injustice and aggression, Bouzeina Shabaan, advisor to the Syrian president, said at a conference with students from the University of Alepo, in northern Syria.

According to Shabaan, the leaked documents undoubtedly prove the role of western countries and Israel in the planning, funding and management of the terrorist war against Syria since 2011.

The main objective was to ruin the model of coexistence that Syria is, destroy its state institutions and erase its history and culture, she commented.

She added that all this was backed by a well prepared and funded media war to misinform the Syrian people through the distortion of facts.

The president’s advisor also referred to the economic war that the country is currently facing and described the blockade as a war crime and crime against humanity.

The people’s strength in the face of that injustice had the world admire and value Syria, she concluded.
