Three armed men from the SDF, which is supported by the United States, were killed when popular militiamen opened machine gun fire at their vehicle on the road that connects the towns of Al-Hol and Khatounieh, near the Iraqi border, the media reported.
Three other gunmen were killed in attack on their bus while they were on their way to Raqa province.
The Kurdish-majority SDF dominates most of Syria’s oil-rich Al-Jazira region and receives weapons, money and training from Washington.
Practices such as the compulsory recruitment of young people, servility to the United States, the theft of crude oil and crops, as well as the eviction of families from their homes due to their proximity to US bases, have provoked the indignation of local people who have increased their protests and armed resistance against this group.
