A large contingent of Israeli agents entered the mosque, located in East Jerusalem, one of the third holiest site in Islam, and attacked with rubber-coated bullets the Palestinian worshippers who were praying there, according to witnesses quoted by WAFA news agency.
The attack to the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a crime by the Israeli occupiers and the Palestinian leadership is examining all options to respond to this horrible aggression, announced the minister, who is also a member of the Fatah Central Committee, the largest Palestinian resistance organization.
Al-Sheikh added that the Palestinian National Authority ‘is examining all options to respond to the aggression,’ part of the crackdown by Israeli forces against the indigenous population protesting the forced evictions of residents in the Sheikh Jarra neighborhood in East Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, spokesmen for the Red Crescent, the Muslim equivalent of the Red Cross, revealed that the agents by the Israeli occupiers prevented access to the mosque of their paramedics sent to assist those wounded.
