In the message on the occasion of the 107th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, convened by the Catholic Church to take place on September 26, His Holiness recalled what he expressed in his ‘Fratelli Tutti’ Encyclical about the situation of the world after the Covid-19 pandemic has passed.

The Pope announced that inspired by that idea, he wished to devote the message for this year’s celebration to the theme Towards an Ever Wider ‘We’, in order to ‘indicate a clear horizon for our common journey in this world.’

I address this appeal to walk together towards an ever wider ‘we’, to all men and women of the world, for the sake of renewing the human family, building together a future of justice and peace, and ensuring that no one is left behind, Francis said.
