Israeli military forces killed Youssef Mohammad Odeis, 16, during a raid on the village of Odla, south of the city of Nablus, according to a presidential statement released by the official news agency WAFA.

The Israeli occupying government persists in its policy in violation of international humanitarian law, the text underlines.

The denunciation comes amid growing tensions between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority, which postponed the legislative elections in the occupied territories due to the refusal of the occupying power to allow voting in the east of the city of Jerusalem, where one of the three holiest sites of Islam is located.

In recent weeks there has also been an increase in the expulsions of Palestinians from their homes and violations by settlers in illegal Zionist settlements in the West Bank of holy sites in Jerusalem, which Muslims call Al Quds.

The text urges the international community and the UN Security Council to protect the Palestinian people ‘to save them from the Israeli occupation authorities.’
