From January 1 to April 30, as many as 7,737 migrants arrived in Spain on 390 open boats, compared to 4,894 arriving in the same period in 2020 on 251 small boats.

Canary Islands reported that about 4,411 migrants arrived there on 123 small boats, accounting for 133.9% more than in the same period in 2020.
