Vice President Raquel Peña recently told the press that in order to motivate citizens to be vaccinated, local health authorities will conduct a mass vaccination week (from May 3 to 10).
Likewise, she said that simultaneously with this new phase, public transport workers, journalists, teachers and people with comorbidities or coexisting diseases may continue to be vaccinated, while stating that more vaccine doses will be arriving quite soon but she did not specify a date.
‘The Government continues to manage the fulfillment of contracts with pharmaceutical companies that have not sent yet the vaccines previously contracted.’
So far, as many as 1,200,000 people have received the first dose and about 800,000 two doses.
