Nereyda Perez, vice-rector of this institution in Ciego de Avila, said that the students from the different majors, study modalities and short-cycle programs will begin the school year virtually, through the Moodle platform.

She specified that to use and have access to this tool, students will receive training and will have two illustrative video tutorials.

She said that, first, the students will receive an introduction to the major and will have a space for orientation and evaluation of subjects with pre-university background levels and others that are easy to understand.

They also outlined alternatives so that students can receive guidance and teachers can evaluate the results of self-training, the expert said.

She stressed that if the pandemic scenario improves in the province, they will continue the course in classrooms in September.

For university students, they organized short-cycle training programs and their participation in prioritized tasks, such as food production, those linked to their profession that contribute to local development, and attention to vulnerable families, Perez added.
