‘Under the current circumstances of global emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the small island of Cuba is facing this situation under huge restrictions,’ Association President Mohamed Abu Atwan said in a letter to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The letter highlights how the strategy followed by Washington for nearly six decades has failed to bend ‘the unbreakable determination of the Cuban people,’ whose development has been affected and have lost human lives due to terrorist actions orchestrated in Miami.
‘During nearly 30 consecutive years, the international community has condemned the blockade against Cuba, but the governments of the United States have not complied with the United Nations resolutions,’ the letter added.
From the Palestine-Cuba Friendship Association we call to eliminate all laws that shelter the sanctions against Havana, including the Torricelli Act and the Helms-Burton Act
‘These times demand solidarity and cooperation among our peoples,’ the letter noted.
