Cuban foreign minister criticizes US policy on terrorism

Havana, Apr 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez criticized the United States' policy on terrorism on Friday, a year after the shooting of the Cuban Embassy in Washington.

On his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy recalled that the US Government refuses to describe that aggression ‘as a terrorist action’.

‘However, it (the United States) shamelessly describes the Cuban State as a sponsor of terrorism,’ Rodriguez tweeted.

On April 30, 2020, at dawn, a citizen of Cuban origin, Alexander Alazo, shot 32 projectiles of a semiautomatic rifle at the Cuban Embassy in Washington, endangering the lives of ten officials who were in the building at the time.

So far, US authorities have not issued a statement condemning that action, which Cuba has termed as terrorism. jg/mem/ool
