In this regard, Cuba highlighted the UNESCO approach to prevent updated technologies from further worsening inequalities among developed and developing countries.

Represented by Dr. Rafael Ernesto Bello and Dr. José Ramón Acosta and diplomats, Cuba also highlighted the respect for the environment and gender equality, thus supporting the significance of guaranteeing control, accountability and responsibility throughout the AI systems´ life cycle.

Cuba availed itself the opportunity to ratify its call to AI use from ethical positions, based on education, science, culture, communication and information, always for the benefit of present and future generations.
