Claudio Monzon, Charge d’Affaires a.i. at the Cuban Embassy in Japan, explained the issues discussed at the party meeting and the approved documents.
The lecture, organized in conjunction with the Hall of Studies on Cuba, had the participation of more than 90 businessmen, academics, government agency officials and members of solidarity organizations.
The presence of important mass media such as Fuji TV, Nippon TV and NHK, the Kyodo News and Nikkei agencies, and Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, was also highlighted, the Embassy states in a note.
In his presentation, Monzon highlighted the analysis about the implementation of the Economic and Social Policy Guidelines since 2011, as well as their update for the 2021-2026 period.
During the event, participants asked questions about the economic transformations, the generational transfer in the Party and the perspectives of the Cuba-United States relations under the Biden administration, among others.
