According to that source, at the 2nd Round of Political Consultations between Foreign Ministries, held virtually, the parties noted the positive state of bilateral relations, which will be three decades old next year.
At the meeting, the Cuban party thanked Croatia’s historic position against the US blockade, as well as that country’s traditional position in favor of the development of relations between Cuba and the European Union based on the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement.
The meeting was presided over by Director General of Bilateral Affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (MINREX), Emilio Lozada; and Director General for Political Affairs from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Petar Mihatov.
The Cuban delegation was also composed of MINREX Director of Europe and Canada, Gisela Garcia; and Cuban Ambassador to Austria, visiting Croatia, Loipa Sanchez.
Mirna Vlasic, Deputy Director General for Latin America and the Caribbean, and other officials from the Croatian Foreign Ministry also participated on the Croatian side.
