On his Twitter account, the president regretted the death of Reynoso, who was the first secretary of the Communist Party (PCC) in Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth) special municipality before being appointed Cuba’s baseball commissioner.
On his tweet, Diaz-Canel expressed his ‘condolences to his relatives, friends and comrades in arms, among whom I am,’ he noted.
The Cuban Sports Institute (INDER) informed on Tuesday afternoon about the death of 56-year-old Reynoso, who had led the National Baseball Directorate since September 10, 2019.
