The number of people infected with the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus since January 2020 rose to 17,636,307, while the death toll increased to 197,894, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
In India, 2,771 people died in a day as a consequence of the disease.
On Monday, 251,827 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals, so the number of recovered patients rose to 14,556,209. Current patients or active cases total 2,882,204.
To date, 145,271,186 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administrated in the country.
