Cuba and Togo celebrated on January 18, 42 years of bilateral diplomatic relations and among their most recent milestones is the participation of a medical brigade of the Henry Reeve International Contingent in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the Togo.
Eleven Cuban healthcare collaborators stayed for three months in that territory, linked to the service of the Lome Commune regional hospital center, and with work results recognized by the local authorities, who highlighted their professional and human level.
In a letter to Cuba’s head of State, Togo’s president expressed the gratitude of his people for the work of Cuban healthcare professionals and affirmed that this opens a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations.
