The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the choreographic art globally has showed multiple features in development and one certainty: the imposed distancing of theaters, halls, classes and regular rehearsals, has strengthened the artists’ need for expression and creation through the language of dance.
Cuban Director, Teacher and Choreographer Lizt Alfonso told Prensa Latina that she wishes to take advantage of this impulse to provide incentives, with support from professional institutions from several countries to all kinds of people with choreographic concerns, even amateur dancers.
The event is named DanceCoreo International, and its bases will be published on April 28, at 14:00 hours, local time, by Lizt Alfonso, founder and president of the jury, and Diana Fernandez, director of the event, through the LADC channel on Facebook and Instagram.
Alfonso said that the opportunities include performing from home, aware that the current pandemic situation generates to take care of each other and, of course, registration and materials will be available at the company’s website.
