In a comment after Sunday’s Queen of Heaven prayers, the Holy Pontiff noted that those who died were persons, human lives, who implored in vain for two days for a help that never came.
Brothers and sisters, let’s question ourselves all about this umpteenth tragedy. It is time for shame, Pope Francis pointed out and asked to pray ‘for those brothers and sisters and for many who continue to die in those dramatic voyages.’
Let’s pray too for those who can help, but prefer to look the other way. Let’s pray in silence for them, he expressed.
