De la Rosa told stories and presented testimonies about his participation in the first military defeat of the Government of the United States in Latin America, and described shocking scenes of the courage and patriotism of militiamen, police officers and soldiers from the Rebel Army, who defeated the invaders in less than 72 hours.

Today’s second lecture was given by former Culture Minister Abel Prieto, and was entitled ‘Cuba and Culture: The Wish to Create and Win’, which raised an interesting debate.

Participants in the meeting took a break during the morning session to join the World Caravan against the United States Blockade against Cuba, which in Mexico’s case took place at the beach resort of Cancun, although it is a virtual event.

The Forum demands an end to the blockade against Cuba in favor of the families affected by that criminal punishment that has lasted more than 60 years.

The closing speech will be given by Cuban Ambassador to Mexico Pedro Nuñez Mosquera, after the screening of a video by the first vice president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Noemi Rabaza Fernandez. The Forum will approve a Final Declaration.
