Speaking at the ¨Reencounter with Mother Earth, Global Reflections for Pachamama Defense¨ event, Arreaza urged humanity to join forces to preserve the planet.

‘We must undertake another system where human relations, production relations, and relations with Mother Earth have to be quite different,’ Arreaza said.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister questioned whether representatives of global capitalism are capable of taking any real and verifiable measure to reverse their own system, in reference to the virtual climate change summit called on Thursday by the United States.

In this regard, Arreaza warned about the urgent need to bring human beings closer to efforts to preserve the environment.

‘If there is an ecocide, there is a genocide, we must not separate ourselves from Mother Earth,’ he stated.
