According to a statement from the state agency of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the head of WPK International department, Kim Song Nam, visited the embassy and politely extended the message to Cuban Ambassador Jesus de los Angeles Aise Sotolongo.

The cordial congratulatory text is intended for Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, on his election as first secretary of the PCC Central Committee.

Kim reiterated his warm congratulation and claimed he will always move forward shaking hands with the Cuban president in order to successfully develop socialism overcoming all challenges from hostile forces.

The North Korean leader also expressed the Korean party and people’s firm willingness to expand and further develop special friendly strategic relations with Cuba.

After thanking the message, the Cuban ambassador expressed the willingness of PCC and the Cuban people to further develop friendship and cooperation ties between both parties and countries, ACNC reports.
