On his Twitter account, the high command of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (CEOFANNB) highlighted that ‘the glorious Bolivarian Marine Corps is fighting irregular Colombian mercenary terrorists and drug trafficking groups to capture and expel them.
Ceballos published the message accompanied by a video in which the members of the military forces can be seen patrolling to confront and dismantle the actions of Colombian paramilitaries and drug traffickers in the border area with Venezuela.
Since March 21, the CEOFANB has been carrying out search and capture actions in the border state of Apure, with the result that dozens of irregulars have been neutralized and arrested, in addition to the destruction of several camps.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reiterated last week the order of zero tolerance against those forces.
During the commemorative actions on the 12th anniversary of the Bolivarian Militia, the president called to deploy, in the state of Apure, the war of all the people in defense of sovereignty against the Colombian criminal gangs.
