‘All WFTU forces, representing 105 million affiliates in 133 countries globally, welcome the achievements of the Cuban socialist Revolution and our workers’ State,’ the organization’s secretariat said in a letter to the leadership of the political force.
WFTU affirmed in the text that its members will continue supporting the Cuban people’s struggles against the US blockade and the return of the territory illegally occupied by the US naval base in Guantanamo since 1901.
WFTU defended that in the crisis of world capitalism aggravated by the pandemic, the class spirit of the Communist Party of Cuba and the ideological counterattack of the working class are becoming more necessary.
The party event in Cuba is holding this Monday its final session and the first plenary meeting of the new Central Committee elected on Sunday by 300 participating delegates.
