In a message addressed to Raul Castro and the delegates attending the summit meeting of the Cuban communists, Labor Party leader Alberto Anaya recalled that the congress is being held at a special time of health and economic crisis and under particularly complex conditions for the Cuban Revolution.
We consider that the mere fact of calling for an analysis of the imperialist aggression, the effects the perverse and criminal blockade has on the material welfare of the Cuban people and the proposals for economic and political renewal that Cuba proposes has been a demonstration of the ideological and ethical values guiding the brother party.
The resolutions, the Government’s plans and the introduction of a generational renewal, among others, are signs of strength, confidence in the membership and the will to fight that have historically characterized the Cuban Revolution, the PT leader said.
Anaya conveyed his party’s best wishes to the PCC, so that the success of the Congress is expressed in good results, new ways of hope and victory and the same morality that led them to defeat the mercenaries in Playa Giron, whose 60th anniversary is commemorated on Monday.
