Sponsored by the Andalusian Historical Heritage Institute, this meeting will be held until Tuesday, and it is the first time that the Ciego de Avila university, located 430 km east of Havana, will participate.
Teaching Vice Dean at the Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences of this institution, Mabel Mendez, said that the Cuban delegation will present projects ‘Rescue of Traditional Dances’ and ‘Safeguard of Agricultural Heritage.’
The professor and researcher highlighted that both programs will show the management of cultural heritage from a local point of view.
The meeting applauds academic experiences and good community practices in times of crises and adversity in order to preserve cultural heritage as a social cohesive element.
