Since March 21, the FANB’s Strategic Operational Command (CEOFANB) has been conducting arrest warrants in the south of the border demarcation, with dozens of Colombian paramilitaries neutralized and detained as well as several destroyed camps.
‘We are increasing operations in the state of Apure to guarantee internal order and to arrest armed groups (…) and their collaborators in the area. We will continue fighting to eliminate foreign aggression,’ CEOFANB tweeted.
Likewise, Remigio Ceballos, head of the Strategic Command, held coordination meetings with the senior military commanders in order to issue instructions to firm up defense and protection across the border line.
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reiterated this week the zero tolerance order against Colombian irregular groups.
