According to Vice President of the Republic, Maria Alejandra Muñoz, the goal of vaccinating the entire population of the so-called enchanted islands before the end of the current administration, on May 24, could be achieved with the arrival of 40,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
The vice president said that authorities will end the two-shot inoculation process of all people over 18 years of age with this shipment.
Muñoz made this announcement during the Extended Cabinet meeting held in the port city of Guayaquil.
