Diaz-Canel highlighted the impact of the performance of those collaborators at the Mexican Institute of Security and Social Services of the State Workers’ General Hospital, which earned them the recognition of the Mexican Secretariat of Health, the capital’s government of that country and the national government.
More recently, Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador thanked the dedication and quality of the work of Cubans in caring for the Mexican in the fight against the pandemic.
‘We count on you and on the experiences and learning you have nurtured in this mission to continue fighting against Covid-19 in Cuba,’ concluded Diaz-Canel.
Dr. Regla Angulo, deputy minister of Public Health of Cuba, welcomed the group at Jose Marti International Airport, made up of general practitioners, nurses, specialists in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Pneumology, Gynecology, Epidemiology and Intensive Care.
Since January 11, those professionals have treated a total of 986 suspected or Covid-19 cases, and carried out 167,854 nursing procedures and actions, 624 invasive procedures by medical personnel and rehabilitated 213 patients.
