President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that in the next two weeks, which coincides with the month of Ramadan, the reopening of restaurants and cafeterias will be banned, just home delivery or takeout food services will be allowed.
In addition, the curfew will be in force from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., capital television reported.
The lockdown reinforcement also includes the prohibition for minors (under 20 years of age) and people (over 65 years) to go out.
Erdogan’s decision was known after 59,000 positive cases and 273 deaths were reported in just 24 hours.
