According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2.5 million chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis contagions were reported in 2019.

In the case of newborns, the number of those affected by syphilis almost quadrupled from the beginning to the end of the period, and homosexual and bisexual men accounted for about half of those affected by STDs.

The official source added that the rate of these conditions was five to eight times higher for African-Americans compared to white people.
