India’s Health Ministry said that 184,372 new cases were reported, taking the country’s total number of patients to 13,873,825, while the death toll rose to 172,085, including an additional 1,027 deaths.

Meanwhile, at least 12,336,036 people have recovered from the disease.

The recent increase in Covid-19 cases made India the world’s second country most hit by the pandemic, behind the United States.
