Russia’s National Defense Control Center informed that the fighter took off ‘to identify the air target and prevent the violation of the Russian Federation’s state border,’ according to TASS news agency.
The press release noted that after the foreign military plane move away from the Russian Federation’s state border, the Russian fighter returned to base.
It added that the Russian fighter’s flight took place under strict compliance with international rules for the use of the air space.
