In a speech released in Belgrade, Seselj described that anti-Cuban policy by the US administration as the most flagrant violation of human rights against an entire nation.
This is, he said, the terror of an economic genocide that endangered the Cuban economy and caused great suffering.
Decades of heroic resistance by the Cuban people, Seselj stressed, arouse the admiration of all freedom-loving citizens globally.
Despite many difficulties it faces, Cuba never asked or begged, resisting US hegemony defiantly, constantly and with dignity, he noted.
This revolutionary struggle led to victory, we clearly see today that the attempt to isolate Cuba failed, its people demonstrated they are brave, educated and capable of developing all branches of industry and, thanks to impressive achievements by its scientists, Cuban medicine occupies a leading place in the world, he affirmed.
Almost five years after the death of one of the greats of anti-globalism, the leader of the Cuban Revolution and glorious Commander Fidel Castro, it is especially gratifying for the Serbian citizens to know that Cuba with its current political leadership continues on the same course and maintains its strong and unwavering fight against imperialism, Seselj said.
Seselj’s speech joins to the action for the 60 years of the United States blockade aimed at men and women in politics, sciences and arts the Serbian-Cuban Friendship Association and its vice president, Sveto Dobrijevic, promote.
