One of its goals is the installation this year of a monument to the Commander in Chief in the square that bears his name in Moscow, informed Leonid Savin, editor-in-chief of the Geopolitika.ru analytical center, who was elected president of its board of directors.
The Foundation is made up of the first vice president of the Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba (RODK), Major General of Aviation Mikhail Makaruk; the veteran of the Missile Crisis Colonel Viktor Avdeev, and the member of the political council of the Venceremos social movement, Anatoly Lashin.

It was learned that another of its members, the sculptor Alexei Chebanenko, is already working on the monument project, for the construction of which a fund-raising campaign will be launched soon.
The square is located in the northwest of the Russian capital, in the Sokol district, next to Salvador Allende Street.
