The assistance called Cash Transfert (monetary transfer) will support families in nine of the 10 departments of the country.

Some 2,100 families in Port-au-Prince, affected by the 2019 peyi lok (blocked country) period and municipalities with highest Covid-19 incidence, will benefit from such an initiative, the Education Ministry said.

The National Food Safety Commission indicated that at least 42% of the 11.4 million inhabitants really need assistance, and of them 905,471 are under emergency phase.
