German solidarity movements carry out actions against US blockade

Berlin, Apr 9 (Prensa Latina) Solidarity organizations with Cuba in Germany are currently preparing actions against the US blockade against the country for over six decades.

The main phase of the UnblockCuba campaign will take place in Germany from May 27 to 6; in addition to other tasks to be carried out as part of the world caravans against US hostility on May 24 and 29, diplomatic sources pointed out.

The demonstrations are part of the work of several solidarity organizations, Germans and Cubans who are increasing their actions until June 23, when for the 29th time a resolution against the US blockade against Havana will be voted in the United Nations General Assembly.

Meanwhile, in the cities of Berlin, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart, activities in support of Cuba were held as part of the marches which during Easter Week and for several decades have been conducted in favor of peace and nuclear disarmament.

The events were attended by members of the FRG-Cuba and Berlin-Cuba Friendship Associations, Cuba Si, ECOMUJER, the Cuba Solidarity Network and the Friendship Society on the Rheinwiese.
