The virtual meeting is headed by Felipe Lopeandía, general director of Bilateral Economic Affairs of the UnderSecretariat of International Economic Relations (SUBREI), and Suresh Kumar, assistant secretary of Commerce of India´s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
A note from SUBREI recalled that, the Undersecretary of International Economic Relations Rodrigo Yáñez in August 2019 signed –along with India´s Secretary of Commerce Anup Wadawan- the reference terms for strengthening the trade agreement between both nations.
As stated by Lopeandía, India is a strategic market for Chile, as it is the second most populated country on the planet, especially for fresh fruit and food exporters in general.
