The head of the medical brigade, Alfredo Moran, highlighted in a message to Prensa Latina the honor that this recognition means for the healthcare cooperators, but, he clarified, our greatest prize are the lives saved and the affection of the local population.
This work, he noted, is part of a great work that we are carrying out in 40 countries around the world.
Numerous organizations and personalities from all over the world are promoting the nomination of this Cuban medical contingent for the Nobel Peace Prize.
