A congratulatory message from the group on the recent 59th anniversary of the Cuban Communist Youth Union (UJC), warns that the country has achieved ‘tremendous success during the years of socialist revolution’ despite Washington’s economic, financial and commercial blockade.
The letter sent to Diosvany Acosta, first secretary of the UJC National Committee, highlights the role of that organization in working with Cuban youth and in the active struggle for social justice.
Acosta points out that the new generations face current serious challenges, and notes that the UJC must play an important role in providing youngsters with information about the scale and significance of these threats.
He indicates that the organization is in charge of transmitting to the younger ones everything that the country is doing when ‘there has not been a day without attempts to smother the Cuban Revolution’ and to deprive it of its achievements in all areas.
Acosta says that the Belarusian youth will continue to be in solidarity with the Cuban youth, will try to promote cooperation and strengthen the friendship between the organizations of both countries.
