Salvadoran Tourism Minister Morena Valdez said the country´s economic sector showed a great result, despite some limitations, with about 263,000 more trips than those planned for the Holy Week.
‘We exceeded the estimated domestic tourism income,’ Valdez acknowledged when presenting the Holy Week´s balance, called off in 2020 due to the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
The General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners also reported that over 60,000 sightseers (more than half of them foreigners) visited the country.
