During the meeting at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters, the two diplomats analyzed the main projects and areas of joint cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology, education and culture, diplomatic sources confirmed.
On January 15, representatives of Cuba and Belarus signed collaboration agreements in education and tourism.
In that regard, the Republican Institute of Professional Education, attached to the Ministry of Education of Belarus, and the Technical and Professional Education Directorate at the Cuban Ministry of Education signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
On that day, the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Belarus penned a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the tourist sector.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited Minsk in late October 2019, and met with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko.
On that occasion, the two leaders signed several agreements in the fields of health care, agriculture, transportation, education, research and the pharmaceutical industry.
